Last summer, we went to Antibes in the South of France, just 20 minutes away from Nice, and it was one of my favourite trips we've been on. It is such a gorgeous little beach town with a really local, homey, rustic feel to it and it was such a gorgeous place to spend a week. I would particularly recommend the Old Town, it is so much nicer than the newer parts.

If you're still deciding where to go on your hols, or even better, if you're heading to the South of France, take a trip to Antibes to see everything it has to offer. It's a small town in comparison to Nice, but I prefer it to Nice ten times over.

I would love to know if you try/have tried any of these places that we loved!

Restaurants

Chez Lulu - booking needed (call morning of)

This is such a gorgeous experience and an absolute must if you go to Antibes. It's a set menu, changing every week, chosen by the two female owners based on availability of locally sourced produce. 

You get a selection of starters to share, and for mains, you serve yourself in a homey-kitchen counter style from giant Le Creuset pots (I think there were two options) - as much as you like - and you can refill your plate as many times as you wish, same applies for dessert! It was so gorgeous and it felt exactly like it was - a delicious home-cooked meal in a lovely, family-style setting. The owners are so lovely and make you feel so welcome. An absolute must! 

Angelo's by Le Milano

This is a gorgeous little Italian restaurant, with perfect outdoor seating along the cobbled streets of the Old Town where you can indulge in delicious pasta and wine (note: you must drink Provence rosé while in the South of France - it hasn't had to travel anywhere and it is so delicious and wildly affordable. Also a cute little off-licence on the main street with a HUGE range of rosé and everything else you could want).

Delicious food, delicious wine, super lovely staff. Can't go wrong!

Royal Beach Club restaurant

The beach club itself is overpriced and not great, hostess vvv rude. But the restaurant, setting, food and wine were lovely.

Bars/wine bars

Café Brun

Gorgeous setting just in off the main thoroughfare in the Old Town, perfect for people watching. Drinks lovely and reasonably priced.

Le Happy Face

Super cheap drinks but v good. Sit outside.

Just above Café Brun, and even better view for people watching, can see the port etc. Lovely chill place for a pre-dinner/sunset drink.

Sights

Le Marche Provencal 

A gorgeous local market held on the main street in a covered unit, with fantastic local produce - fruit, flowers, veg, meats, cheeses, spices, herbs, fish, local olive oils, herbs and olives. The vendors are so happy and friendly. Make sure to bring cash and a tote bag for your purchases.

The beautiful port of Antibes - so many lovely boats (and YACHTS), surrounded by the old walls of the town. There's a little night market in the area in the evenings and a ferris wheel where you can see gorgeous views over the harbour and all of Antibes.

Picasso museum

 A short walk outside the town - good to do on one of the hotter days/mornings if you want to be out and about but escape from the heat. Very interesting and alternative artwork, cool to see.

Of all the times I've been to London, I had never been at Christmas time until last year. Ed and I were so excited to see the lights and soak up the Christmassy atmosphere, and I figured there was no point posting this last year AFTER Christmas, so here it is now!

I've popped a list below of the things - in my opinion - you absolutely cannot miss. Most of these we managed to see, however in 30 hours we didn't manage to hit everything, so I've added in the places that we wanted to go that are also fab. • The Ship, Soho (or literally any of the cute old man pubs with tacky decorations)
• The Miracle Bar at The Henrietta Hotel (Covent Garden) - this is a 70's Christmas-themed bar upstairs in the Henrietta Hotel and is the best, tacky Christmas atmosphere you will probably find in London
